The earliest record of the Landrum
and Hooper ancestors is from a family Bible now owned by Mrs. Irene Hooper
Hutsell. The following information has
been copied there from.
“James Harvey Landrum and Francina
Hooper were united in Holy Matrimony at the home of her father, M.S. Hooper, on
the 7th day of November in the year of our Lord, 1867 in the
presence of friends and relatives.”
James Harvey Landrum, born
September 23, 1848 and died March 26, 1890.
Francis Hooper, born March 11, 18—
and died May 22, 1924.
“James H. Landrum professed
religion in August 1873 and was baptized by Rev. James Nabors in September
1875. He was licensed to preach the
Gospel by Harmony
Baptist Church
in October 1880.”
The Landrum Children were:

October 6, 1868.
2)
Mary Eliza (Mollie) was born April 5, 1872.

It is not known exactly when nor
how many of this family came to Texas, but the
family Bible states that Mary Elizabeth (Mollie) Landrum was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church
at Clay Post Office, Jefferson County,
Alabama. She was dismissed in full fellowship in
September 1897. It is believed that this
is the year in which she came to Texas and
perhaps with her a brother, Tippecanoe, who
also has a place in Keller history.
Mary E. Landrum and Isom M. Hooper
were married in Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas
December 18, 1899. They farmed about two
years in the black land area near Taylor. After the birth of their first child,
Herbert, they came to Tarrant
County and lived on a
farm west of Keller where they were close neighbors and friends of the Jud
Allen family.
James H. Landrum died March 26,
1890 and Francina died May 22, 1924.
They are buried in Bourland
Cemetery.
