Rudolphus Pulliam, believed to be a
nephew of Nicholas Pulliam, was born in 1855.
He was married to Sue Brown, born in 1859. Both were natives of Tennessee.
They came to Texas by wagon train and
settled in along with other Pulliam relatives in Mt. Gilead. He died in 1884 at the age of twenty nine
years and was buried in Mt.
Gilead Cemetery. His young widow was married later to
Zephaniah Davis.
